Beyond Support

In this post, I share my thoughts on support groups. As in all of my writings, talks, podcasts, etc. I am not making a statement, I am merely taking a curious well-intended look at there longer-term usefulness.

So to me, support groups, in general, have a great tendency to do good and or be good only for an initial phase of needing said support. However, I have noticed that the recurring theme by leaders and participants is to stay in a forever loop or pattern of stuckness. Getting comfortable with their stories and bonding in misery with others. (Misery loves company.)

I am a firm believer that all people have the capacity to transcend any psychological trauma through greater awareness and practice. Wouldn't it be amazing if there were groups that helped people to reveal and heal from past psychological trauma, known and unknown?
Good news, there is! It's called group coaching, a process of engaging and guiding your own awareness and useful practice to safely reveal and heal, expanded by sharing and evolving in a caring group environment.

Please enjoy and engage in support groups as you need, and at the same time be fully curious and aware of when you may wish to fully heal and courageously lean into the new. With or without group coaching you should choose what you want and what you may not want any longer.
